Advice on insulation requirement to roof renewal
We were asked to provide advice on the requirement for insulation to Mansard slopes of this building in the most exclusive private street in the City. Grade II Listed, the Contractor had stripped the roof of coverings and was being asked to insulate to current Building Regulations standards. The construction of the building made this difficult and we were asked to justify an exemption from the Regulations based on the ‘Reasonableness’ definition.
A case was developed and application made which was successful enabling the works to re-commence with clarity.
